The Town of Westwood is seeking an Enterprise Applications Administrator to join our IT Department. The position plays a key role in supporting, maintaining and advancing the Town’s enterprise-wide applications. The Enterprise Applications Administrator will evaluate municipal and public safety operations, assess the need for software upgrades or new systems, and lead the implementation, training and support of enterprise applications. The position reports to the Director of Information Technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, and a minimum of four years’ experience in enterprise application administration and implementation.
- Highly skilled in enterprise application platforms and municipal software systems, such as, Munis, EnterGov, Springbrook, Harpers, Vision, Softright.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of Access and SQL databases.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary administrator for Town-wide enterprise applications such as Softright, Millennium, Vision, and others.
- Develops specifications and implementation plans in collaboration with department heads.
- Identifies and documents business and technical requirements for new or updated systems.
- Tracks emerging technology applications and initiates implementation when indicated.
- Functions as project manager for new or upgraded enterprise application deployments.
- Manages procurement, implementation, support, and feature requests for enterprise applications.
- Coordinates upgrades to legacy systems to maintain software functionality, security and vendor support.
- Recommends and implements efficient work process improvements using appropriate software tools.
- Maintains regular contact with end users in developing strategy and plans, answering questions, solving problems, providing training, implementing and supporting technology solutions.
- Acts as liaison between the Town’s IT Department and external software vendors.
- Ensures both physical and information security of Town information systems.
